A new Steam Deck Client update was released recently that brought forward some wonderful improvements to the client that we recently saw go into beta. In-game notifications for friends in a game will no longer re-appear when reconnecting to Steam, which is massive for me, and some errors were corrected for accessing notes and receiving a voice chat invite. The default startup animation when docked has also been fixed, and the Backup Game Files dialog will complete correctly.

You can download and install the new update through the System settings on your Steam Deck.
