Ever wanted to play as a gun-toting squirrel that just wants to mess things up? What? You hadn't even thought about it before? Well, Maximum Entertainment and developer Dee Dee Creations have and they're bringing Squirrel with a Gun to Steam on August 29th.

You can check out the trailer below for a solid minute of gameplay:

Squirrel with a Gun isn’t just a game about a squirrel with any old gun. You'll be able to use all kinds of weapons, from handguns to SMGs and rocket launchers. In Squirrel with a Gun, you’ll find yourself starting out as nothing but a rodent with a dream. But as you build your arsenal of deadly weaponry, you can take the fight back to the Agents that are hunting you down.

It's not just about the weapons though! Need to make a quick escape? Fire off your weapon and use the recoil to propel yourself to safety. With an array of different firearms to collect, RC cars to joyride in and mayhem to start, the world is your acorn in Squirrel with a Gun. Cause chaos, forage nuts, interrupt picnics, steal cake, and more to prove you’re one rodent that should not be trifled with. Mmmm... trifle...

Also, I'd just like to point out that Squirrel with a Gun spells out SWAG, and that's pretty awesome!

Squirrel with a Gun is launching onto Steam on August 29th, 2024. It has partial controller support, and the developer does state that they are targeting the Steam Deck as their lowest system requirement, so it should run on the device.

Will you be picking up Squirrel with a Gun when it launches in just over 2 months time? Let us know in the comments below!
