The Finals Proton Experimental

A new small Proton Experimental update was released that brings over a nice fix from the Proton Hotfix branch. The Finals was recently made unplayable from an update, but a fix was implemented to make sure it doesn't crash anymore. There was also an issue with No Man's Sky failing to boot into VR mode, but that won't affect Steam Deck users much.

The new Proton Experimental update should automatically download if you already have the experimental layer. If not, just search for Proton Experimental in the Steam store on your Steam Deck and download.

  • Fixed The Finals crashing after a recent game update.
  • Fixed No Man's Sky failing to boot in VR mode after a recent game update.
