Don't worry, the gaming shows aren't over yet, in fact, this was one of the first that we missed! But we've gone back in time to round up all the PC releases that were shown at the Guerrilla Collective 2024 event a couple of days ago. It was a pretty lengthy show, about the same length as the Summer Game Fest Showcase, so there's plenty to go at here. So let's dive into the highlights we found at the Guerrilla Collective 2024 livestream!

Table of Contents

Wrekless is Bringing Skateboarding to the Masses in Q3 2024

Kicking off the Guerrilla Collective showcase was Wrekless. In this skateboarding MMO, you'll be able to create and share your own skate parks, it's launching into Early Access on Steam in Q3 2024. Up to 50 players can play together and participate in minigames.

It will have full controller support, but the system requirements might push the Steam Deck's capabilities.

Yooka-Laylee Remaster Announced, Imaginatively Titled Yooka-Replaylee

Yooka-Laylee isn't all that old, but it's already getting the remaster treatment in the form of Yooka-Replaylee. The visuals do look slightly better, but I feel like a next-gen patch could have done a similar job as this remaster.

Regardless, it boasts controller support and the system requirements are pretty low, so the Steam Deck shouldn't be troubled by this one.

Knights in Tight Spaces Gets a Gameplay Trailer, Demo Out Now

We've spoken about Knights in Tight Spaces, a spin-off of Fights in Tight Spaces before. This tactical deckbuilding game takes us back to medieval times, but you still needs to play your cards right and make the right strategy call in order to come off victorious.

Yet again, full controller support, and easy system requirements.

Detective Adventure Neon Blood Is Coming in Q4 2024

Taking place in a cyberpunk dystopia, you take on the role of an ex-police detective who is on the run, looking to uncover a web of corruption at the heart of society.

Full controller support again babyyyy!

Steamworld Heist II Gets Another Trailer

We've covered this one already in its own article, but we've got less than 2 months to go until SteamWorld Heist II is here, and it's gotten another trailer courtesy of the Guerrilla Collective.

It should run great on the Steam Deck.

KIBORG is a Story-Driven Action-Roguelite, Free Prologue Coming this Summer

KIBORG is a fast-paced, story-driven action game with rogue-lite encounters. Each challenge is unique and the narrative always moves forward, win or lose. Become an unstoppable war machine and face the consequences of your actions as you lead a resistance group on a faraway prison planet.

The game will have controller support and the Steam Deck should handle the system requirements.

Nightdive Studios Reveal Their Next Remaster is of 3DO Classic, Killing Time

The Guerrilla Collective was chosen as the place for Nightdive Studios to unveil their next remaster. Killing Time was a comedic first-person shooter from way back in the mid-90s on the Panasonic 3DO system, and it's now getting Nightdive Studios' remaster treatment with all the bells and whistles, so expect this to run quite well on the Steam Deck, like most other Nightdive Studios games.

FINAL KNIGHT is a Mash of Old School RPG and Auto-Battler, and it's Launching Later this Year. Demo Out Now.

Legendary arcade TRPG meets party building and monster hunting all in one. Execute ambushes, taunts, and meteors in direct action. Create a party full of lawful/evil charlatan flair. Command your allies to break the monster's weak points, stack stuns to topple it, and set up Large Barrel Bombs.

The game supports, and you're recommended to use, a controller.

Fallen Aces, a Noir Crime FPS Gets a New Trailer

The A.C.E.S, watchful guardians of Switchblade City, are being taken down, one by one. Now it's up to one man, with two fists, to get to the bottom of it all. Fallen Aces is a crime noir FPS that plays right out of the '90s and looks like it's right outta the comics.

If you're excited about this one, then you'll want to tune into the PC Gaming Show on Sunday 9th June at 1 PM Pacific Time, as the release date for the first episode of Fallen Aces will be revealed then.

Wizard of Legend 2 Gets New Gameplay Trailer

We were treated to a new look at Wizard of Legend 2 during the Guerrilla Collective showcase, a 1-4 player co-op RPG Roguelike. A demo of the game is available on Steam right now, and it does have controller support, although the demo is single-player only.

Horror Game Post Trauma is Coming Fall 2024

Entering the horror portion of the Guerrilla Collective, Post Trauma is a horror game inspired by genre-defining classics of the past decades. Play as Roman, a middle-aged train conductor trapped in a terrifying twisted reality. Explore the unknown, unravel mysteries, and try to survive the unspeakable horrors that lurk in these threatening surroundings.

The game will have controller support.

Hollowbody is a Tech-Noir Horror Launching Later this Year

A tech-noir survival horror short story, set in the urban decay of a long abandoned British city. Solve environmental puzzles, manage limited resources, and fight for a way to escape beyond the wall.

The game features low-poly assets, and it's easy to run, plus there's controller support.

Demonschool Gets a New Trailer, Releases Later This Year. Demo on the 10th June

Demonschool is a new-style tactics RPG where motion equals action. Defeat big weirdos in between the human and demon worlds as Faye and her misfit companions, while navigating university life on a mysterious island.

Controller support is here too!

The Urban Myth Dissolution Center is a Supernatural Adventure Based on Urban Myths, Launches Later in 2024

Join forces with the psychic Director of the Urban Myth Dissolution Center and solve a variety of cases involving cursed relics, rental properties with shady histories, and dimensional anomalies. Monstrous oddities and otherworldly planes abound in this occult mystery adventure game!

Controller support!

Little Problems Challenges You to Solve the Issues of Everyday Life this Winter

I chose to include this one as it's just a bit too cute not to, and I think we need games like this from time to time. Little Problems is a "detective" game all about solving little non-consequential mysteries, it feels like a light-hearted and joyous game, and I'm here for it.

It is letting me down by apparently not having controller support, but it does seem like a game where you will use your cursor a lot, so trackpad users rejoice!

Starminer Looks Like Kerbal Space Program with a Purpose, Launching Later This Year

I probably shouldn't be delivering a burn like that to Kerbal Space Program when the studio was just shut down, but Starminer looks to capitalize on the popularity of the original KSP game and expand on it by giving you a reason to build things, beyond them just looking cool.

Build Your Own Street Paradise in Monterona, Demo Out Now

Another cute little game that I couldn't resist. This one tasks you with designing small plots of land with buildings, decorations, and streets, and then sharing your creations with others. And it has controller support!

Escape From Ever After Brings the Paper Mario Vibes, Prologue Arriving July 19th

A genre-bending RPG inspired by the classic Paper Mario games! When a greedy megacorp from the real world starts taking over fairytales for their cheap labor, a newly-hired storybook hero must climb the corporate ladder, rally together other disgruntled employees, and fight back!

And we got controller support!

It's a Slimes Turn to be the Hero in Slime Heroes, Demo Out Now!

Sick of that RPG trope where the first enemy you fight is a slime? We can probably blame Dragon Quest for that one, but now the Slime has some time in the spotlight, with Slime Heroes, a fun adventure game for 1-2 players. A demo is out now on Steam, and there is controller support.

Play as an Immortal Knight in Renaine, Coming Soon. Demo Out Now.

Renaine is a cute and colorful game about an immortal knight on an epic quest through a world of gorgeously animated characters with ridiculous problems.

It looks to have a nice blend of being light-hearted, but still having depth in the combat and gameplay mechanics.

Pinball Spire Introduces the "Pinballvania" Genre, Demo Out Now

Action adventure meets pinball in this one-of-a-kind pinballvania adventure. When a mysterious spire appears from thin air, it's up to an intrepid pinball to bump, spin, shoot, and flip its way to the top and solve the tower’s mysteries!

It does seem quite reminiscent of Yoku's Island Express, which I did enjoy.

Challenge Your Platforming Skills in Constance, Launching Late 2025, a Demo is Out Now.

Ending the Guerrilla Collective Showcase was Constance. Constance is a 2D hand-drawn action-adventure featuring a paintbrush-wielding artist, striving to escape from a colorful but decaying inner world, created by her declining mental health.

Controllers are supported.

Conclusion:

Phew, those are just the highlights from the Guerrilla Collective 2024 event. There were plenty more games that I wasn't able to cover. I do hope that you enjoyed these highlights, if you want to watch the whole Guerrilla Collective showcase yourself and check out every game shown, you can do so by watching it here.
