Valve is continuously checking games and adding them to the Verified/Playable list for the Steam Deck. After a little bit of a break, they came back and updated a bunch of games in the past 2 days. Since there was so many, here are some of the highlights that we think are some great games to check out!

Note: Verified or Playable games do not automatically mean they work amazing right out-of-the-box. Some of these games still require work to optimize and play well.

Devil May Cry 5 (Verified)

Steam Deck Verified DMC5

The fifth entry in the action beat-em-up Devil May Cry was upgraded from Playable to Verified. Though this ran fantastically before, this game is one you don't want to miss for your Deck. If you enjoy over-the-top action games with a kickass soundtrack, this game is for you.

Final Fantasy XIV Online (Playable)

FFXIV

Looking for a MMO that is not only constantly adding in new content, but has so much to offer initially? Final Fantasy XIV has you covered. Team up with your friends in this gigantic world and enjoy everything it has to offer from leveling up classes, crafting, and an extensive combat system. The game has just been upgraded to playable as it requires the use of a touchscreen at some points and needs an active internet connection at all times. It also is a monthly subscription fee to keep playing the game, but as far as MMOs go, this one is the best.

The Wild at Heart (Verified)

The Wild At Heart

In this uniquely created 2D action-adventure game, you must use your wits to unravel the mysteries of this lost land. Amass your horde of Spritelings and explore, craft, and battle your way through to survive. This game has recently been upgraded to Verified status, though it doesn't default to any external Bluetooth or USB controllers, so this may need to be changed at the quick access menu.

Astria Ascending (Verified)

Astria Ascending

JRPGs are a perfect fit on the Steam Deck and this game is no exception! Take control of a cast of unique characters in this beautiful 2D world that was fully hand-drawn. With over 20 classes to choose from and over 200 monsters to fight in captivating turn-based combat, this 50+ hour game can satisfy your cravings for a new wonderful experience.

Blackwell Unbound (Verified)

Blackwell Unbound

In this point and click game, you will work together with your spirit guide to investigate a recent string of "accidents" taking place at a nearby construction site. The rest of the town doesn't seem to care, but you and your guide think otherwise, and it is now up to you to stop a possible killer from continuing their spree. With beautiful pixel visuals and an engaging story, this game is a great fit for fans of point and click games.

Two Point Hospital (Playable)

Two Point Hospital 1

I am a personal big fan of management simulators that require you to build everything from the ground up, so this game is up my alley! Create your dream hospital, hire your staff, and upgrade machines to try making as much money as you can...oh and you can cure some illnesses too. Some in-game text may be a bit small and community controller layout may be needed though.

Orwell: Ignorance is Strength (Playable)

Orwell Ignorance is Strength

Time for you to step into the shoes of a top government official overseeing the Orwell surveillance program. Inspired by the rise of fake news, this second and darker season of the Orwell games takes you on a thriller to investigate those agitating the status quo and uncover the truth. The game does have a launcher to it where you may need to use a touchscreen or virtual keyboard, but otherwise, the game should be all set.

Boyfriend Dungeon (Playable)

Boyfriend Dungeon

Use your weapons to plow through dungeons and then reward their good work with a nice dinner date. I would say more but...that does speak for itself. Might need to use a community controller configuration at some parts of the game, but should be good otherwise.

Rampage Knights (Playable)

Rampage Knights

Take part in this cooperative beat 'em up game that takes you on randomized dungeons. While this can be played solo, it is best enjoyed with friends as you progress down deep dungeons with randomized loot, weapons, and more, all while unlocking new classes and features for the long term. Some in-game text may be a bit small, but otherwise, the game should work as intended!

And that's it for our list! There are still a bunch of games that were put into the Playable and Verified ratings, but this was just 9 standouts we found. What do you guys think? Are there other games you are wanting to see get that blessed green checkmark?
