Over the last five days, Proton 9.0 had two small updates that fixed compatibility with some games, as well as implemented a fix or two. The older update, Beta 12, fixed some regressions to make The Division and Warframe playable again, while the newer update, Beta 14, fixed up DEATHLOOP and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. There were some other small fixes here and there, like THE FINALS getting nvapi support and X input system mouse mappings taking effect, but that's about it.
Even with small updates, it is extremely nice to see these improvements coming out! All of these are public beta releases too, and there will be significantly more updates as we start heading to Proton 9.0-1.
Proton 9 Beta 12 Changelog:
- Enabled nvapi for THE FINALS.
- Fixed a few 9.0 regressions and the following games are playable again:
- Tom Clancy's The Division
- Warframe
- Steep
Proton 9 Beta 14 Changelog:
Fixed 9.0 regressions:
- DEATHLOOP no longer displays APU warning and is playable on Steam Decks. (#23489)
- X input system mouse mappings take effect. (#23502)
- Warhammer 40k Darktide is playable with AMD GPUs. (#23474)
