The highly anticipated new entry in the classic strategy series Heroes of Might and Magic, Olden Era, is set to be released soon, according to a surprising announcement made by Ubisoft and Unfrozen. This new game is scheduled to be released in Early Access in the first half of 2025, coinciding with the beloved Heroes of Might and Magic franchise's 30th anniversary.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era brings fans of the game back to the realm of Enroth, and introduces the previously unseen continent of Jadame. Olden Era is sure to bring a mix of nostalgia and innovation. This realm is teeming with distinct tribes, ecosystems, and animals, and it's about to provide players old and new with a new strategic challenge.

Following in the footsteps of its forerunners, Olden Era intends to transport players to a colorful fantasy world filled with perils and mysteries. Both solo adventurers and multiplayer fans should find plenty to do with the game's new campaign, standalone maps, and endless randomly generated scenarios. There will be a variety of multiplayer modes available to players, including the faster Arena matches, the more involved single-hero mode, and the classic Skirmish battles. One notable addition coming during Early Access is the inclusion of creative tools. These tools will let players create their own multiplayer templates and single maps, which will add a personal touch and encourage community-driven content.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will feature six unique factions, including returning favorites like Temple (Knights) and Necropolis (Undead and Vampires), along with new factions such as Hive (Insectoids corrupted by Demons). There will be a faction-based perk system called Faction Laws which aims to add additional strategic depth to the game.

"It is an immense honor to be a part of such a legendary series", stated Leonid Parmenov, the game's director. "We aimed to please both die-hard Heroes fans and those who have never played the series before with Olden Era, so we merged the best of the original with some fresh ideas and cutting-edge tech."

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has been promised to receive frequent content updates during its period in Early Access. While taking onboard community feedback to determine what new factions, modes, and features to add.

With Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, the beloved world of Enroth is back for another generation of players to enjoy, thanks to a combination of the series' classic features and new innovations. You can add the game to your Steam Wishlist today!
