Of all the fighting games that are released, Street Fighter 6 has remained in the top two of my favorites (tied with Tekken 8), and there's a good reason! The game is full of content, refined gameplay, and gorgeous, vibrant visuals that stun me every time I see them. I also love the way they add content. There's a lot of free content here and there, but the new characters, stages, and costumes they add are also really fantastic. And today, we mark the start of their second year of paid content with the release of the first character for it: M. Bison.

For full disclosure, I was sent a key for the Year 2 Ultimate Pass by Capcom, but in all fairness, I had the pass in my cart and was planning to purchase it later that same day. Seeing M. Bison return to the fighting ring is fantastic, and he plays extremely well. I was actually able to win a couple of matches with him, and that's saying a lot! I also enjoy his new design, though going with his second costume (his original attire from before) is hard not to gravitate towards.

And with how well it runs on the Steam Deck, it's hard not to love.

While this is just what is available now, the Year 2 pass has a ton of great content to look forward to. There are three other characters coming, and they are all fantastic. We have Elena making a return, but also have Terry and Mai, two guest characters from SNK's Fatal Fury series! Seeing the announcement was incredible, and I can't wait to try them out when they release later this year and next.

Street Fighter 6's Year 2 Pass has a $30 and $50 version, with the former only including the characters and extra colors for their outfit. The ultimate pass has all the characters, additional stages, and two full additional costumes, all of which have different colors. You can also get extra Drive Tickets to use for customization items, colors, and more in the Battle Hub.

Street Fighter 6 itself is available on Steam for $59.99, but you can get it on Fanatical right now for $25.19 until June 27th. We also reviewed the game and while there are some stages that are harder to run than others, the game runs exceptionally well on the Steam Deck and generally sticks to 60 FPS.
