Ever since it was announced, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has been one of those extremely weird-looking games that captivated me with its awesome, vibrant visuals and intriguing premise. Today, during the Xbox Partner Preview showcase, we got to see some new gameplay for the game, and all it did was make me even more interested in what this experience will be like:
From the trailer, it seems like the game will be a unique action/strategy game that reminds me a bit of a tower defense game. You will rescue villagers, assign them roles, make preparations, defend against waves of enemies that come out, and try to survive in real-time strategic combat. It looks absolutely phenomenal with some amazing designs on both enemies and the surrounding world, as well as interesting gameplay.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess isn't available yet on the Steam store, but it will be coming to Steam on release. But, you can tune into a new Capcom Highlights episode tomorrow on their YouTube, which will go over the game a bit more! Here's hoping it will run on the Steam Deck.
