Today, a new update for Jagged Alliance 3 was released that adds many new gameplay changes, overhauls, and new tools that you can use to modify the game.

Jagged Alliance 3 Update

With so much happening in this update, here are the highlights that will take your experience to the next level:

Jagged Alliance 3 1.1.0 Update Highlights:

Modding Tools:

First up, we have brand new tools integrated into the game to allow you to create mods. These can range from modifying in-game mechanics to creating new mercs, weapons, UI elements, and even new voiceovers for other languages. There are a couple of sample mods there, but you will be able to see and download mods from the Steam Workshop, making it easy to add them in.

Tactical/Active Pause

Adding a tactical pause to stop the maps in real-time was one of the biggest community-requested features, and now, we finally have it! Called Active Pause here, this new feature will allow you to pause and better plan your actions.

Photo Mode

Want to set up and take some gorgeous photos of the action? Well, now you can with the brand new photo mode! You can select it through the pause menu and has the option to hide the UI.

Weapon Shipments

Just like Diamond shipments, enemies can now send weapon shipments that can contain weapons, ammo, meds, and parts. This was another community suggestion and can bring in an extra challenge to get some extra, necessary loot.

Gamepad Overhaul

A lot of the gamepad controls have been changed to better accommodate the game. There have also been a bunch of tweaks and fixes including changing the combat log position, target cycling, virtual mouse cursor stutters, and more.

Co-op Fixes

If you are a fan of playing co-op, there have been a couple of nice fixes to help make the game more enjoyable. These include fixing some interruptions, the ready/not ready button will now change color, and you can now ping positions on the map.

There were also many updates, improvements, and fixes across the board. There are a bit too many to list here, but they range from text improvements to Mercs & Perk tweaks, operations fixes, UI improvements, and more.

Jagged Alliance 3 is now available on Steam and can be purchased for $45. We also reviewed the game on the Steam Deck and thought it was a fantastic experience that plays extraordinarily well at 30 FPS. It's a fantastic game to play on-the-go and I highly recommend it!
