Galactic Getaway looks like Animal Crossing was more multiplayer-focused and took place on an alien planet. You explore an uncharted world, befriend creatures, gather resources, and build your home while farming and playing minigames. It looks like a good time, and one that should be much more enjoyable on the Steam Deck after the latest patch!

The new update, which was released a couple of days ago, adds controller support and makes 99% of the game playable and comfortable with a gamepad. Button icons have been added for Xbox and Steam Deck, a pointer can be added so you can see what you're selecting, shoulder button switching has been added for navigating between different tabs, game intro and pet encounters now work, and you can now see the "How to Play" screen for minigames by pressing the Up D-Pad button.
The update also includes some bug fixes here and there. Dailies will now appear for everyone again, the mystery man fishing quest has been fixed, the extra Trevally in the list of fish has been improved, mouths will now correctly appear on everyone, sprint can now be toggled, and fishing in general has had a ton of cleanup!
You can check out the full changelog for this update via their Steam Community Post.

Galactic Getaway can be purchased on Steam for $14.99.
