Forgive Me Father 2 has enjoyed a solid first year of development. This first-person shooter out of Lovecraftian hell will receive a major content update, and it is not far away either! Byte Barrel officially announced the update today with a snazzy trailer, and it is coming on September 16!

As content updates go, this is a pretty big one. The patch will bring two new levels to the game, new enemies (and the first flying foe!), more Madness skills, and more weapons for the player’s toolbox. The trailer shows off the beautiful Botanic Garden map, and it looks like a great addition to the game. The second map coming to Forgive Me Father 2 will be revealed at a later date, but the Botanic Garden map looks fantastic.

But that’s not all! In this new update, players get to wield the power of The Obelisk - a weapon that allows them to channel the power of the cosmos through their enemies. This portable railgun shoots a perfectly accurate, piercing beam that can obliterate most targets with a single shot, as well as piercing through multiple enemies. Despite the great power, it takes a while to reload shots, so it is sure to test your dodging and planning skills!

Forgive Me Father 2 can be bought on Steam, with more details about the patch to come before September 16. It looks like we will have more surprises to look forward to! What do you think of the upcoming patch? Let us know!
