For the King 2 has been out for a couple of weeks now, and it's great to have a follow-up to one of my favorite co-op RPG games to play. To make things better, developer IronOak Games is working on improving the game on the Steam Deck through new patches, including a new one released today!

Today's update brought in a lot of fixes for the game that range from combat improvements and a fix for save game corruption and black screens. With it, there were two specific Steam Deck improvements: a fix for traveling through portals using a controller and improved different menus with small font sizes. This means the menus should be much more readable than they were before.

If you are a fan of co-op RPG experiences, I would recommend checking the game out. For the King 2 will see you and your team of up to 3 others traveling across a tabletop-esque world and taking part in a roguelite campaign. You will create your characters from different classes, go to villages, complete quests, buy new items, and take part in challenging turn-based combat.

For the King 2 is available now for $24.99 and is rated Playable on the Steam Deck due to small in-game text and sometimes showing non-Steam-Deck controller icons. The game does perform decently on the Steam Deck too, though sometimes using a controller can feel awkward. We are working on our review of the game now, so stay tuned later this week for our take!
