I'll admit, I wasn't aware that For Honor was still receiving updates, it's been an age since the game originally came out back in 2017, but here we are in 2024, with new features and content still being added.

For Honor's newest Hero, the Sohei, is a towering Samurai who joins the battlefield today. Inspired by depictions of the historical warrior-monk Benkei, the Sohei wields a Kama Yari polearm as his primary weapon, as well as a sickle, mallet, saw, club, pole fork, and sword. You can purchase The Sohei today, or in 2 weeks time, you can unlock the Sohei in-game for 15,000 Steel. You can also enter a Photo Mode sweepstakes to have a chance of winning the Sohei.

Want to see the Sohei in action? Check out the gameplay trailer below:

In For Honor, the Sohei is an outcast due to this appearance, driven by a grudge, he has learned to master as many weapons as he can while collecting those of his fallen enemies. Nothing could stop him until he faced Master Katashi in battle, a stalemate resulted in the two becoming friends, and now he wishes to pass down his skills to his students.

The Photo Mode Sweepstakes I mentioned earlier will be held live at 2 PM Pacific Time on August 13th on the For Honor Twitch channel, you'll need to submit your photo mode images by August 8th. I, unfortunately, wasn't able to find information on exactly where you should submit your images. The sweepstakes page that had more information has seemingly been removed from the Ubisoft site.

For Honor is available on Steam now for $29.99. It is rated as Playable on the Steam Deck, due to difficult-to-read UI elements and some controller issues.
