Yesterday, Capcom debuted a showcase for their upcoming co-op Dino-slaying game, Exoprimal. From the event, we got more details and a look at the schedule for the post-release plans for the game and what we can look forward to from now until early next year, including a teaser for a Monster Hunter collab!

Instead of doing updates, Exoprimal will roll different seasons that will add new game modes, maps, exosuits, and collaboration content like what was announced with Street Fighter 6. The first 3 seasons were teased and shown, which will last until early next year:

ExoprimalPostLaunch

Season 1

The first seasons begins with the game’s launch this week to kick things off. 2 weeks later, on July 28th, a new co-op game mode called “Savage Gauntlet” will be released. The mode will put you in teams of 5 to take on weekly rotated late-stage PvE missions that you can replay and get a bunch of rewards. Then, Exoprimal will see its first title update on August 17th which will bring in 10 alpha variant exosuits with completely different weapons.

Season 2

Then in mid-October, season 2 will begin and bring with it the second title update. This update will include the Street Fighter 6 collaboration content, but that’s not all. Capcom states that we can expect a new map called Ocean Platform, a new final mission, and more rigs and modules coming from this season as well.

Season 3

The last season shown will begin in January 2024 and bring with it an armory expansion that includes beta variant exosuits. We will also see a new deadly foe, the Neo Triceratops, join the fray. And, while there’s no specific date yet, the Monster Hunter collaboration will appear in this season, which is already exciting to say the least!

During the broadcast, we also got a look at Final Mission Selection, which will allow you to either randomize (for better rewards) or select a PvP or PvE mission for Dino Survival mode. This will be included on launch. The PvP will be a head-to-head battle, while PvE will be a competition between 2 teams to see who completes the objectives given fastest. And of course, a small teaser that there is more coming after.

Exoprimal is shaping up to be an exhilarating game and with promises of post-launch content, there looks to be always something to do! The game launches on July 14th and can be pre-ordered on Steam now for $60.
