A new update for the offroad racing game ExoCross was just released, and it will be much better for those playing on the Steam Deck now. It looks like an intriguing game and uses 4CPT vehicle physics to simulate how it would be to drive offroad. As a sucker for physics, this is huge for me, but I feel even more confident trying the game out now, thanks to its newest patch.
The update, released yesterday, fixes some problems on the Steam Deck, making it much better to play. Some framerate issues are now fixed, so it should be much more stable on the Deck, and incorrect button hints will now be shown correctly. Some other smaller fixes, like the analog input range, affect playing on Deck as well, but they are more general controller fixes.
The rest of the update has some smaller fixes as well. We have a crash fix for the AI code, trigger rumble effects will now be controlled by their corresponding settings, the short start countdown will go as normal when you restart offline, and the championship intro video replaying has been reconfigured.
You can check out the full changelog via their Steam Community Post.
ExoCross is available on Steam for $39.99 and is rated Playable due to small in-game text.
