Deceive Inc. has just received its Summer Splash Update, bringing with it additional progression rewards for long-time players, alongside various gameplay enhancements, and improvements to the game's AI. Plus, there's the chance to earn some sweet summer cosmetics for your agents.

So what can we expect from this new update for Deceive Inc.?

You'll be able to collect posters, prototype weapons, and weapon crates, which will earn you points that will unlock 15 levels of summer-themed cosmetics during the event that runs from July 25th - August 29th. If you're feeling brave, you can even go onto the catwalk that has been added to each map dressed as the VIP to get a major boost to your points.

If you're an agent dedicated to your craft, then you'll now receive more rewards for reaching higher echelon levels. With new Golden, Platinum, and Diamond skins available for reaching major milestones in your echelon level.

Melee combat has been changed to be more "stealthy", making NPCs less aware to melee attacks, gamepad (and Steam Deck) users will also get vibration feedback when doing a melee attack.

Retinal scanners are being added to the game as a new way to access vaults, with players being able to deposit gathered intel to unlock the scanner, and then pose as a VIP in order to unlock the vault. This has been done to prevent camping in the game. Previously, players had to go to certain points on the map to unlock the vault, the retinal scanners, however, present another option for players, meaning they don't have to walk into a trap.

Deceive Inc.'s bot agents are now more useful, will be more likely to play the objective, and are capable of winning the game.

Deceive Inc. is available now on Steam for $19.99. It is Steam Deck Verified and should run pretty well on the device.
