Opening Movie for Silent Hope Revealed - An Intro Into the Worldless World

Earlier today, XSEED Games shared the opening movie for their upcoming Action RPG, Silent Hope. The 1 minute and 42 second video gives us a first look at the 7 heroes in this style and it looks fantastic so far! It's nice seeing the little bit of downtime and what each of our protagonists is like before they venture into the abyss:

This awesome opening is accompanied by a fantastic theme song created by J-POP sensation KAMI WA SAIKORO WO FURANAI. When asked about what it was like creating the theme song for the opening, lead signer Shuusaku Yanagita said:

I’ve loved RPGs ever since I was a child. While party games are about competing with others, RPGs are about taking things at your own pace, whether leveling up your party, enjoying the scenery, or diving deeper into the stories of the main cast and even the supporting characters as well.

When I was chosen to write the theme song for Silent Hope, a brand-new action RPG, my eyes lit up just like I was a kid again. The story and themes of this game, set in a world that has lost the ability to communicate through language, feel like an antithesis to today’s social media society. Words are a double-edged sword--a single, simple word can hurt someone deeply, but on the other hand, a single word can also save someone’s life. We hope that the message of Silent Hope and of our song will reach not only audiences in Japan, but around the world!

Silent Hope takes place in a land that was once peaceful, but when the former king steals the people's speech and escapes, they must come to terms with the new present. Now, seven heroes imbued with magical powers must find the princess and restore the world, braving the depths of The Abyss to find the king and bring the speech back.

  • Experience a new layout each time you enter the enigmatic Abyss, keeping you on your toes every moment you explore, and look out for Memory Rifts, where greater rewards -- and challenges -- await.

  • The Princess narrates each step of your journey, giving the feeling of a fairy tale come to life -- right down to the dark mysteries waiting to be uncovered in the visually stunning underworld.

Silent Hope will be releasing on October 3rd and can be wishlisted on Steam now! The game looks to be a good one and I have little doubt that this will have any trouble running on the Steam Deck, especially considering the minimum specs it is asking for on the store page.
