It has been almost 10 years since I stepped foot into the world of Lisa and another reason to go back is one I take with excitement! The incredible, miserable, gut-wrenching, hilarious RPG Lisa is coming back strong with a new definitive edition to bring it up to speed for current-gen consoles!

The definitive edition, which will come as a free update to those who own the game and its Joyful DLC, will include a plethora of new additions including:

  • Brand-new campfire conversations, allowing you to mourn the deaths of party members even more.
  • New enemy and boss fights.
  • New quests featuring never before seen battles and dialogue.
  • Brand-new stories with multiple endings.
  • Updated battle systems introducing new “Warlord Skills,” updated timed attacks and UI overhaul.
  • New border art overlays for wide-screen viewing.
  • A new music player to listen to your favorite tracks and 20+ new Definitive Edition-exclusive songs.
  • Painless (easy) mode for players looking for an easier time.
  • 12 new localized languages.
  • And even more secrets to explore.

The definitive edition update will be available on July 18th.

Lisa is an incredible game and one of my favorite RPGs that I have ever played. The dark humor it has, mixed with its deep story and intriguing setting, keeps it alive and still a game I highly recommend to others. The game runs fantastically on the Steam Deck and even has a native Linux build, so don't hesitate to add this one to your library!
