Steam Summer Sale 2024 Hidden Gems for Steam Deck

The Steam Summer Sale features thousands of great games for deep discounts until July 11th, and while it is very dangerous for my wishlist (and my wallet!), I love digging through them for those sweet hidden gems. With so many games released yearly, it is hard to get noticed, so I took some time to dig through Steam to list some recommendations you should check out for your Steam Deck.

Summer Sale Hidden Gems for the Steam Deck

1000XResist - $17.99 (10% off)

This is an incredible sci-fi thriller set in a future where a mysterious virus has destroyed mankind. From underground salvation, a cult follows the Allmother, and as Watcher, your goal is to unravel the mystery behind the leader. The storytelling in this is top-class and a potential GOTY for me.

ADACA - $11.99 (50% off)

ADACA is a A Sci-fi FPS where you will have to survive on a alien-infested planet and survive using your trusty weapons or using your gravity-manipulating arm to rip foes apart. With Proton GE and a community layout, this is a great experience for portable play.

Abalon - $19.99 (50% off)

This is a roguelike adventure with a fusion of turn-based combat and card mechanics similar to Slay the Spire. You will explore a tabletop world in this dungeon crawler, and it is fantastic to play on the Steam Deck.

Alekon - $3.99 (75% off)

If you enjoyed Pokemon Snap, this will be the game for you! Alekon has you wandering through different realms and photographing creatures to get great photos or even interact with them to strike unique poses.

Blade Prince Academy - $13.99 (30% Off)

A great cartoon-styled tactical RPG with a nice difficulty balance and a great control scheme for controllers. It isn't too complex, and has some interesting social elements to it, but it's definitely great on the Steam Deck.

Chromosome Evil 2 - $19.99 (40% off)

Chromosome Evil 2 is a Lovecraftian RTS where you will assemble a team to survive an onslaught of nightmares while managing your convoy. While it doesn't natively support controllers, it is still a ton of fun and can play quite well on Deck.

Cornucopia - $19.99 (50% off)

Cornucopia is a 2.5D farming simulator where you will work on farming unique crops, nurturing animals that can mutate, and befriending the townsfolk in a gorgeous world. It reminds me of Stardew Valley, but with a 3D twist, and it's really cool.

Ctrl Alt Ego - $11.99 (40% off)

This was my GOTY in 2022. An immersive sim with excellent mechanics and freedom of play, it is finally getting the attention it deserves. The most recent patch contains a sandbox mode and New Game Plus mode.

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint - $19.79 (34% off)

Released in Early Access last year, this is a deep turn-based tactics game set in a gritty cyberpunk universe. The developers have been incredibly active since launch and frequently add new content to the game.

Spacebourne 2 - $11.99 (40% off)

A little janky, but Spacebourne 2 is a small team's mission to accomplish what gamers are waiting for: the ultimate space RPG. If you want an ambitious and impressive space RPG, I highly recommend this one.

The Land Beneath Us - $11.99 (20% Off)

The Land Beneath Us is a futuristic turn-based strategy game that is filled with rogue-lite elements and a gorgeous combination of pixel and 3D visuals that help it stand out from the pack. And with full controller support, it's definitely worthwhile on the Steam Deck.

Terra Memoria - $14.99 (25% Off)

Terra Memoria is an RPG that follow six friends across an investigation throughout the continent to find out why ancient robots are waking up. You will set out on a giant journey, craft and change the world, construct your own village, solve puzzles, cook, and more.

Trappist - $11.99 (20% off)

In Trappist, you are over 40 light years away from Earth with the goal of establishing thriving colonies. You will fly your Ark, discover new planets, and uncover the mysteries of the universe, all while trying to keep humanity going.
