Wildmender Gets Virtual Keyboard Support on Steam Deck

There is something special about farming simulators that focus on a gorgeous visual aesthetic, and Wildmender is one of those. This desert survival game is all about building out your spring to cultivate a blooming garden, which you can do with your friends. It looks like an amazing game on the Steam Deck, and with its new patch, inputting text should be a lot easier.

Wildmender's newest patch, which was released earlier today, brings with it a host of changes, fixes, and optimizations. For the Steam Deck, we now have support specifically for the virtual keyboard. This means that the keyboard will automatically pop up without us needing to manually bring it up whenever necessary.

On top of this, we have a plethora of fixes for different graphical bugs gameplay bugs. There were also some adjustments to UI elements, a reduction of biome weight applied by Mystical Springs, and there was a change in how water and pipes are simulated when the player is far away. Distant water will now update much more frequently, which will reduce cases of channels and ponds drying up when you are not paying attention or you are busy doing something else.

Wildmender is currently available on Steam for $24.99 and is rated Unsupported for the Steam Deck. Even though it has this rating, reports indicate the game can run decently on the Steam Deck, though it could dip down later in the game.
