IfSunSets is a really intriguing Survival RPG. It makes me think of a more generic survival game on the surface, but it has some intriguing RPG elements and combat systems with an extensive skill tree to fill up. It looks really amazing, and with multiplayer, it could be an awesome experience to have. And this year, it's going to get a whole lot better to play it on the go!
Developer POLYMORPH has released a roadmap with planned changes and features coming for the game this year. This includes automation tools, new traps, a stealth system, new weapons, new regions, expanding multiplayer to 4 players, new items, new monsters, and so much more. And to top it all off, we will also be getting controller and Steam Deck support. There aren't more details as to exactly what this means, but I assume controller support and optimizations will be key in getting the game running on the Steam Deck.
Open-world survival games like IfSunSets are not really playable on the Steam Deck due to how intensive they can be and how much of the open world is rendered, which requires a bit too much power. I am intrigued to see if IfSunSets can do it. I am looking forward to finding out for myself, and I definitely need to start playing this game.
IfSunSets is available on Steam now, and is on a 20% off sale for $15.99 until January 30th.
