Fighting fans rejoice, the green badge is upon us! Today, Street Fighter 6 was officially given the Steam Deck Verified badge from Valve, showing that it is fully compatible with the Deck:
While all the tests check out, the description does say the game's first-time setup does require an active internet connection.
In general, the badge does not indicate a game will run well on the Deck. We have seen plenty of Verified games that have major issues, while some Unsupported games run perfectly fine. Luckily, we have reviewed Street Fighter 6 and found the best group of settings to play with lower graphics and saved battery or push graphics, each with a 60 FPS focus.
The game is available now and you can buy it on various different storefronts to get the game on Steam:
- Steam Store ($60)
- Humble Store ($48) - Discount with Humble Choice Subscription
- Fanatical ($51)

I really like, how this one runs on the SD as well. Capcom is doing a great job here. RE2/3/4-Remakes, SF6 - all gorgeous looking games running really well on the Deck (Last of Us - I'm looking at you).
I was really tempted to buy this on upon release. However instead I opted for SFV the very same day. I'm not the least bit interested in playing online and I figured that 40 characters for 20 bucks is a way better deal than 18 characters with a 60 bucks price tag. That doesn't even count in all the costumes, stages etc. And the story mode might be garbage but then again World Tour doesn't seem to be SF6's highlight as well (performance issues aside).
And I gotta say, that SFV performs really good on the Deck. It looks great (without much compromising), runs at rock solid 60 fps and plays really well. Just by tapping into the game for a couple minutes, I noticed how much better the gameplay flows in comparison to Ultra SF IV with it's highly demanding links and chains.
In the coming months I expect SF6 to get some performance fixes for World Tour. Then I'll be ready to add this one to my library as well.
