Steam Deck Verified/Playable Highlights 2/19/24 - 2/25/24

There are a lot of exciting games that have been released or are coming out, and in the past week, we saw some of them become Steam Deck Verified or Playable. We even saw an upcoming release get the badge that I am extremely excited to play again after all this time.

Here are the 9 recommendations we found for the past week:

Balatro (Verified) (SDHQ Review)

The poker roguelike. Balatro is a hypnotically satisfying deck builder where you play illegal poker hands, discover game-changing jokers, and trigger adrenaline-pumping, outrageous combos.

The game is $14.99 and rated Verified. We also reviewed the game and can confirm that it is perfect on the Steam Deck.

Penny's Big Breakaway (Verified)

Ready. Set. YO! - Join Penny & Yo-Yo in a kinetic 3D-platformer bursting with innovative gameplay! Showcase your catalog of tricks and chain impressive combos to deliver Penny & Yo-Yo's perfect breakout performance. Take the stage with this vibrant pair in Penny’s Big Breakaway.

The game is $29.99 and rated Verified. We are in the process of reviewing this game, and so far, it is running exceptionally well on the Steam Deck.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection (Verified)

The classic Star Wars: Battlefront games are back in this new collection! Replay some of the best Star Wars games ever made with new maps, heroes, and 64-player online multiplayer support! Both games have an awesome campaign mode, along with a Galactic Conquest mode where you can strategize, recruit, and conquer the galaxy.

The game will be launching on March 13th and is on sale for $31.51 at a 10% discount. If you already own the original releases, you can get it at 20% off for $28.01. It is rated Verified.

The Cub (Verified)

From the creators of Golf Club Nostalgia and Highwater. Return to their whimsical, neon-lit apocalypse in a Jungle Book meets The Armageddon fusion. Parkour through the remains of humanity as a child being hunted, while catchy end-of-days tunes and curious survivor stories play on the radio.

The game is $14.99 and rated Verified.

Yakuza 4 and 5 Remastered (Playable/Verified)

It's time to continue Kazuma Kiryu's journey on the go with the 4th and 5th entries in the Yakuza series. Take on an emerging war in Kamurocho and try to achieve your dreams in the 3rd person beat 'em up that will have you play through a dramatic and hilarious story that will leave you both cracking up and crying from all the crazy things that happen throughout the games.

Both games are $19.99 separate, but you can get them together in a bundle with the 3rd game (also Verified) for $40.17. Yakuza 4 is rated Playable, while Yakuza 5 is Verified.

Dicefolk (Verified)

Play as a chimera summoner, go on an adventure, recruit new chimeras, and build the perfect squad! Command your chimeras using unique dice mechanics to lead your squad to victory in this roguelike turn-based strategy game!

The game is releasing on February 27th and is rated Verified.

Space Expedition (Verified)

Embark on an unforgettable journey through an enigmatic alien world in Space Expedition, a visually stunning adventure-platformer that will challenge your wits, spark your curiosity, and immerse you in its atmospheric embrace.

The game is free to play and has been rated Verified. It just recently got a major update that optimized it for the Steam Deck, and it also added expanded controller support.

Turbo Golf Racing (Verified)

An action-packed fusion of racing and golf. Traverse across a diverse range of courses, using your car to skillfully putt your ball in the hole. Make every shot count in the new 1v1 Golf showdown, compete against 7 opponents in Race mode, or test your skills against the clock in Time Trials.

The game is $17.99 and is currently in early access. It is rated Verified.

Alaloth - Champions of The Four Kingdoms (Verified)

Baldur's Gate and Dark Souls had a baby! Alaloth is a thrilling RPG game that blends real-time action with an isometric view, set in a world of magic and monsters. Players must navigate through dangerous dungeons, battle fierce bosses, and uncover ancient secrets to save Plamen from an impending doom!

The game is $29.99 and rated Verified.
