Update 10/31 - A small Proton GE 9-18 update was released that adds a missing script that fixes prefix creation. Download 9-18 instead of 9-17 if you plan to get the new layer.

Elder Scrolls Oblivion Proton GE

A new Proton GE update was released today that doesn't really introduce any major changes but does update some components and has a couple of fixes. The community-created compatibility layer had wine, dxvk, and vkd3d have all been updated, while some upstream fixes and ICU building+linking has been imported from the upstream. As for fixes, an audio fix for Mini Ninjas has been implemented, esync/fsync has been disabled for Disgaea 4 to prevent crashes, and typo'd mod support for Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion has been fixed.

For those who don't know about Proton GE, how to get it on the Steam Deck, or how to update, check out our Proton GE guide! We go over all of this and explain why having GE is important.
