A very small update came about yesterday for Proton's experimental branch that focused solely on fixing Final Fantasy XIV. The recent update supposedly broke the game's ability to be playable, so this update fixed it by regressing its prefixes a little bit and added that support will automatically bring up the screen keyboard in the launcher for the game:

  • Fix Final Fantasy XIV not being playable on new prefixes (experimental regression).
  • Support automatically bringing up on screen keyboard on Steam Deck in Final Fantasy XIV launcher.

It is a small and sweet update, but fixes one of the most-played games on Deck currently. Can't go wrong with that! You can check out the full changelog on their Github page. All new additions are bolded in the list.
