Earlier today, images were leaked of Lenovo's upcoming handheld PC, the Lenovo Legion Go, and it looks quite interesting. Thanks to an exclusive report from WindowsReport, who also got these exclusive photos, we now have some images of the device that Lenovo is making and I am definitely curious.

According to the images, it seems the biggest differences between Lenovo's handheld PC and others will be the removal controllers and built-in kickstand. Both of these take influence from the Nintendo Switch, which has removal joy-cons on each side and a similar kickstand with the OLED model.

We can also see some back buttons, 2 buttons along the side of the right controller, and, my personal favorite, a trackpad on the right controller. This is something I feel is essential for handheld gaming, especially on the Steam Deck. With the first windows handheld announced to do this being the AYANEO KUN, it is amazing seeing another device step in to take this fantastic leap forward.

The report also states that there are 2 USB-C ports, but I only clearly see one on top whereas the writer, Vlad Turiceanu, mentions there is one on the bottom too. I can see a little bit of an opening at the bottom left of one of the photos, but not enough to clearly state it is a USB-C port. There is also a headphone jack on the bottom and a MicroSD card slot on the top.

Lenovo Legion Go Rumored Features

In the report, Vlad also goes into some rumors of what the device will be sporting internally. He mentions that the screen will supposedly be 8 inches, which is an inch bigger than both the Steam Deck and the ROG Ally, and will be using AMD's new Phoenix Processors.

The device will have Windows 11, which can be good and bad. It means more games will be playable, especially ones with kernel level anti-cheat, but it means there is going to be a bit more battery drain in general. This could be a moot point depending on how big the battery is, but that information wasn't given here.

Overall, it seems Lenovo is trying to create an interesting Hybrid that I am definitely curious about. If it has a better screen, hopefully OLED, and has a larger battery to accommodate for Windows, this could be a nice competitor in the handheld PC market. Price is going to be the biggest factor here though, so it will be interesting to see what price point it has.
