I may never have heard of Just King before writing this article, but as soon as I saw the word roguelike, I was interested. As an action auto-battler, you will assemble a team of heroes to conquer each of the unique zones while you dictate their exact position. It looks like a lot of fun, and I will definitely be playing it soon, especially with the new update!
Yesterday, version 1.01 for Just King dropped, and with it, we have a fantastic new option that is perfect for playing on a small screen like the Steam Deck. After this patch, we now have an option for bigger fonts, which will make text much more readable. This option is automatically enabled on the Steam Deck, and we do have an option to turn it off, but why would we?
Other than that, the new update re-added mouse only and WASD+Arrow key control options, if you are using a Keyboard and Mouse, and a hotkey to send items to your bag, have been added. There were also some item adjustments, and there was another attempt to correct the imp interaction not triggering on Turkish PCs...what a weird bug.
You can check out the full changelog on their Steam Community Post.
Just King is available on Steam for $4.99 and is rated Steam Deck Playable due to needing to set the display resolution manually, sometimes showing incorrect controller icons, and small in-game text (which should be fixed now).
