Eden Crafters is a very intriguing-looking game that completely missed my radar when it came out in October. The goal of this open-world survival game is to turn the planet into an inhabitable planet for humanity using automation, vehicles, and terraforming to hit your goal. Now, with the newest update, we should have a much better experience with it on the Steam Deck.
In the new 0.49b update, we now have optimized Steam Deck support! This should mean better performance and fewer stutters when trying to play the game on the go. We also have full controller support that works very well with the Deck. This was in the beta branch for a couple of weeks, but now it should be in the stable branch. The developers mention to make sure you are using the Gamepad controller template as well.
Outside of these, there are two other changes with this update. We can now see terraformation information when looking at the Planet Analyser and Monitoring Screen, and some miscelaneous bugs have been fixed. The team also mentions that the release of the third planet in the game is coming soon, most likely before mid-December.
You can check out the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
Eden Crafters is on sale for $16.99 at 15% off until December 4th.
