I absolutely adore playing Deckbuilding roguelikes on the Steam Deck, and Deepest Chamber: Ressurection looks like the perfect fit. I really love the aesthetic, which feels like a gritty Dungeons and Dragons campaign, but mixed with similar card mechanics that I have seen in games like Slay the Spire. It's a really awesome combo, and with their newest update today, it should be even more playable on the Steam Deck!

The new update, which went live just moments ago, marks the game getting Steam Deck Verified! Developer Balcony Softworks confirmed to me that to make this happen, they had to increase the text size and some assets had to be readjusted, like the size of the card type indicator. With those changes, they now have a shiny new green checkmark.

I can confirm that the game also runs exceptionally well on the Steam Deck. So far, at the default settings, it is draining around 9W - 11W depending on the location and enemies, but with them and the environments being 3D, I would consider this fantastic. This is also at 90 FPS, so playing at 60 or lower should make the battery last even longer.

Outside of this, there are some other improvements that came along with this patch that is much appreciated! You can now display the quantity of items in your inventory in the misc looting panel, an inventory keyboard binding option has been added, the boost texts in the tooltip don't overlap anymore, and numerous bugs have been fixed to make playing much more enjoyable.

You can check out the full changelog for this update via their Steam Community Post.
