For those getting ready to play the new Dead Space Remake, this one is for you! Pierre-Loup Griffais, a developer at Valve who works with the Steam Deck, tweeted that a Proton hotfix has been deployed to fix an issue when opening the map that caused crashes from the game:
Pierre follows up this initial tweet going into how the Proton hotfix will be deployed automatically within a couple hours. You can also just restart Steam to force the download immediately:

You should replay the game again because I'm playing 9n my deck without lowering the resolution and I'm getting 50 fps with FSR 2.0 on balance.
