I remember playing Blasphemous 2 last year for our review, and I loved it. The game is not only flawless to run on the Steam Deck, but is a joy to play. I love the gothic aesthetic and design of the world, and while I am not the best at these kinds of games, it was still a lot of fun to play. However, there has been an issue with the tutorial on the Steam Deck, and this new update fixes it!

When playing the new Mea Culpa expansion, it was possible that you could encounter a crash when viewing the tutorial videos on the Steam Deck. With this update, the issue should no longer pop up, and you can play through the tutorial and view the videos without any issues!

However, the bulk of this update, named the Balance and True Torment Patch, has some nice improvements and rebalancing. True Torment mode has been rebalanced to let you keep your weapons, Figures, Prayers, Rosary Beads, and some other items, and will include the new Ultimate Torment challenge. This is a new selectable challenge that will remove all of your gear and items, being a true test of skill. There are also some other bug fixes and adjustments for the game, like a fixed soft lock and adjusted hitboxes for different bosses.

You can view the full changelog for the update via their Steam Community Post.
