Rail Route looks like an awesome management sandbox. You will design and automate your own railway network based on maps of real-life cities. It actually reminds me of 911 Operator where you are a police dispatcher and play on real-life maps. However, I love the aesthetic of the game, which looks like a railway map I would see in stations. There was also a new hotfix that was released yesterday that should make it a bit easier to play on the Steam Deck.

Rail Route

The new hotfix includes a bunch of wonderful patches to make playing much nicer, but there's one specific aspect of the Steam Deck. For whatever reason, text input boxes would not work when playing on Deck, but that has now been fixed. So, you should be able to input text into those boxes easily without any problems.

The rest of the update has fixes galore, but one recurring fix has been for memory leaks. There were leaks fixed for train reward icons, perpetual circuits, errors when not clearing meshes, and controllers being stuck in memory. There are also fixed references for nodes when playing multiplayer, trains will detach the loco correctly again, and train dispatching issues have been patched up.

You can check out the changelog for the hotfix via their Steam Community Post.
