Emulating on the Steam Deck is one of the biggest reasons to have the device. Being able to play and enjoy classic titles on the go while experiencing them with better quality-of-life improvements and higher resolutions is amazing. One of the best ways to get this set up and configured for your device is EmuDeck, a community-made tool created to automatically download, install, setup, and configure the emulators for the Deck. It has tons of different emulators for many systems, and it looks like we may be adding another one, and hopefully it will be soon.

Recently, we have been seeing a ton of advancements with the PS4 emulator, ShadPS4, especially concerning Bloodborne. However, it seems like it may be making an appearance in EmuDeck sometime soon. In a Pull Request on EmuDeck's Github by user Aeonitis, they decided to add ShadPS4 and start configuring it within EmuDeck. They added Installation steps, input configuration, optimized settings management, and added user configuration.
I have reached out to DragoonDorise, EmuDeck's creator, to ask for confirmation on its addition, and he has confirmed that it will be added to EmuDeck. There is no ETA on it yet, but rest assured, it will be coming. We can also confirm that ShadPS4 will be coming to RetroDECK as well, but no ETA on this yet either.

If you want to install EmuDeck, you can follow along with our guide on how to do set up. And if you want to try ShadPS4 for yourself without EmuDeck, you can download a Linux version of the newest 0.4.0 update from their Github.
