The Jackbox Party Packs are some of the best party games in existence. I can't remember a time I didn't have a blast playing them, but with 10 different entries, all with different games in them, it can be quite annoying to go from one pack to the other. To make things easier, Jackbox released the Megapicker, a free launcher that puts all of the games into one launcher. It's fantastic and free, which is wonderful, but it did have some issues when trying to use the Linux version of the launcher, including bricking the Steam Deck if installed on it. But that won't be an issue for now.
There was an issue with the Jackbox Megapicker that would corrupt the Steam installation, and this is due to using the Linux version of the launcher. So, to fix this, a hotfix was deployed to force the Megapicker to default to the Proton layer instead of the Linux runtime. This will force the game to start with the Windows version, which doesn't have this issue. This change was announced by Pierre-Loup Griffais on X/Twitter:
Since this can corrupt your Steam installation and force you to re-install SteamOS and factory reset your Steam Deck, I would stay away from the Jackbox Megapicker until this has been fully fixed, but if you really want to use it, I would make sure your launcher defaults to Proton instead of the Linux Runtime.
You can download the Megapicker for free on Steam right now, if you prefer.

YIKES! I downloaded this the other night to try out and it completely hardlocked my Deck. I eventually got it to reboot and it's been working just fine since, but I didn't realize how close to tragedy I got!
