Earlier today, a small update was released for Proton GE that fixed an issue that was plaguing non-standard computer setups with multiple GPUs. In the last update, the argument DRI_PRIME=1 was applied when more than one GPU was detected, which was aimed to help Diablo 4 get past a grey screen. Unfortunately, this didn't work, and broke the setups it was supposed to be helping. So, in this new update, Proton GE 9-20, the argument was reverted and DXVK was updated with a new argument to instead hide an integrated graphics card to resolve the issue.
This shouldn't really affect the Steam Deck, but you can update it if you want to. I would say only Proton GE 9-19 is necessary since the Diablo 4 issues don't apply to the Deck, but you can follow our Proton GE guide on how to update if preferred.
Proton GE 9-20 Update Changelog:
Hotfix:
- Revert DRI_PRIME auto-setting (broke too many non-standard setups)
- DXVK updated with
dxvk.hideIntegratedGraphics = True
for Diablo IV (doitsujin/dxvk@125f0ac) to resolve the grey screen issue on systems with AMD iGPU + dGPU.
