The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered was officially announced today through Bethesda's live stream, and it showed some incredible new gameplay. It honestly looks more like a remake over a remaster, but either way, it looks amazing. We will be doing a roundup of everything discussed and shown on the live stream momentarily, along with some impressions of the game, but with the Steam page up, we can see that the game is actually Steam Deck Verified!

After seeing how the game looks, I did not expect it to have the green checkmark, especially with its system requirements. The minimum system requirements it's asking for are:
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, Intel Core i7-6800K
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 5700, NVIDIA GeForce 1070 Ti
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 125 GB available space
The CPU is teetering on the edge of compatible, and the GPU is a bit over what the Deck can handle. However, we have seen games that go over and still run decently, we can look at Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth as an example, so it's very possible this will be the same kind of experience. I can't see us getting over 30 FPS for it, but even still, being able to experience this on the go is going to be pretty amazing.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered can be purchased now for $49.99. We will be posting our first impressions later today, so watch out for our thoughts on how its running on the Steam Deck!
