One of the main games that Steam is missing out on is Genshin Impact; in fact, all of HoYoverse's games are missing from Steam right now, meaning you have to use their own launchers or play via the Epic Games Store.
But recent data mines have revealed that at least some of HoYoverse's games may be making their way to the Steam platform in the future.
Firstly, there's this tweet from January 19th stating that the upcoming Genshin Impact 6.4 update apparently tries to load the "steam_api64.dll" file, a file all games use that want to interact with the Steam application/servers.

We haven't been able to find any other verifiable information on this yet, though, and Genshin Impact 6.4 is likely a couple of months from release.
But to add further fuel to the fire, a couple of days earlier, data miners also uncovered some strings in HoYoverse's account management page referencing Steam. Apparently, these strings were added on January 6th, meaning the company is likely looking to integrate some form of Steam account support in the future. Sadly, we don't know what games this might entail.

Alone, we could easily dismiss these leaks, but having both appear together does fuel speculation that HoYoverse could be bringing some (or all) of its games to the Steam platform, which would make playing games like Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, and Genshin Impact (hopefully) easier on the Steam Deck. Right now, HoYoverse doesn't support Linux with their titles, but if it comes to Steam, there's a significantly higher chance they will at least support the Deck!
