The battle royale genre has seen various takes on it in the past few years, from shooters to Tetris, Platformers to Racing, but now we have yet another unique slant on the formula, typing.

Polden and Button Mash are teaming up to work on the typing battle royale game Final Sentence, requiring you to type perfectly in a fast-paced battle against up to 100 other players.

If the 40-100 player battle royale mode isn't quite your thing, Final Sentence lets you go up against your friends in private matches as well, where you'll get to see how your friends are performing in real-time.

Regardless of what mode you're playing, though, there's a revolver pointed at you, and each mistake you make could be your last.

To make it fair, all players are given the same text to type, but you'll need to be both accurate and fast, as only 1 player can win, either by outlasting your opponents or finishing the text before they do.

You'll also be able to keep track of how good a typist you are with in-game stats and leaderboards.

Final Sentence is due to launch in Summer 2025 on Steam. Obviously, this is a game that will require a keyboard, so if you play this one on your Steam Deck, you'll probably want to either connect a Bluetooth keyboard or dock your Steam Deck and connect a USB keyboard to the dock.
