AYANEO has teased their Pocket VERT handheld before, but now we have some clear pictures of their next take on the Game Boy form factor, along with some technical specifications and the colorways that the device will be available in, thanks to a recent sharing session.
The device sports a front glass panel across the device, with a very nice-looking 1600x1440 resolution display, which is exactly 10x the resolution of the original Game Boy, in case you want to do some serious integer upscaling.

Here are the limited technical specifications we have so far:
- Operating System: Android
- Display: 3.5", 60Hz, 450 Nits Brightness, 1600x1440 LCD panel
- Dimensions: 86x143x20mm, making it slightly smaller than AYANEO's previous Pocket DMG handheld
We can see a 3.5mm and a USB-C port along the bottom of the device, too.
In a recent AYANEO sharing session, we also found out that the area below the D-Pad and buttons is a touchpad, which can be mapped to various buttons (or sticks).
As for the processor powering the machine, we don't know that yet, but we did see a small clip of God of War (I believe one of the PS2 titles) running at 60 FPS, so we can assume it's a reasonably powerful chip, which is to be expected given the often premium nature of these devices.

The AYANEO Pocket VERT will be available in Black, White, and Red colorways. No word on pricing or a release date as of yet.

isnt 1600 x 1440 exactly 100x the resolution of the original game boy? as opposed to 10x?
The original Game Boy was 160x144, 100x would be 16000x14400.
