AYANEO has just unveiled its new flagship handheld, the AYANEO NEXT II. Judging by the specs sheet, AYANEO isn't holding back with this one, with some very nice internals and a very solid display to boot. Let's check it out.

Here's a rundown of the tech specs of this handheld from AYANEO, which looks set to rival the likes of the OneX APEX and GPD Win 5.

• CPU: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395
• GPU: AMD Radeon 8060S
• RAM: Up to 128GB LPDDR5X @ Up to 8000 MT/s
• Display: 9.06" 2400x1504 165Hz OLED panel
• Battery: 115Wh Internal Battery
• TDP: Up to 85W

Crucially, it appears as though AYANEO have managed to get the whopping 115Wh battery inside of the AYANEO NEXT II, something which its competitors, OneX and GPD, haven't managed to do; instead, their handhelds require you to mount the battery externally on the back of the device.

That is probably helped by the fact that the AYANEO Next II is a sizeable device, with the 9" display being flanked by touchpads and your usual gamepad controls affair.

There's no word yet on the release date and pricing, although we can probably assume this will be a 2026 release, and the pricing will be in line with its competitors, likely approaching the $2000 mark even for entry-level models.
