Assassin's Creed Shadows landed on PC near the start of the year, and we quite liked it. Now, at the end of the year, it's the Nintendo Switch 2's time to join the party, with Ubisoft announcing that Assassin's Creed Shadows will be launching on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2025.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game has been optimized for both docked and undocked play and will include touch screen support for navigating menus. We're also assured that the Switch 2 version will have update parity with other versions of the game, with the exception of the Claws of Awaji expansion, which launched last month on other platforms, and will be heading to the Switch 2 in Early 2026.

Cross-progression will also be supported, so you can carry on your save data from another platform to your copy of the game on Nintendo Switch 2.

The Standard Edition of the game will cost $59.99 and be available as a physical game-key card or via digital download on the Nintendo eShop. There is also a Premium Edition for $99.99, which is available as a digital purchase only.
