A decade after first releasing in Japan and English-speaking countries 8 years ago, June 5th will see Yakuza 0 Director's Cut launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 - released the same day - alongside an English voice cast for the first time.

With personal highlights being Matt Mercer as Goro Majima and David Hayter as Osamu Kashiwagi, there's a ridiculous amount of talent throughout such a bombastic origin story. Some of the other English VO cast are as follows:
- Kazuma Kiryu –Yong Yea / Topher Ngo (Singing)
- Goro Majima – Matt Mercer
- Akira Nishikiyama – Kaiji Tang / Greg Chun (Singing)
- Makoto Makimura – Risa Mei
- Osamu Kashiwagi – David Hayter
- Jun Oda – Alejandro Saab
- Tsukasa Sagawa – Andrew Kishino
- Tetsu Tachibana – Howard Wang
- Wen Hai Lee – Bill Millsap
- Daisaku Kuze – Keston John
- Hiroki Awano – Eliah Mountjoy
- Homare Nishitani – Vic Chao
- Keiji Shibusawa – Jon Ohye
- Masaru Sera – Nobi Nakanishi
- Billiken – Adam Gold
- Sohei Dojima – Imari Williams
- Takashi Nihara – Frank Todaro
- Futoshi Shimano – Fred Tatasciore
- Shintaro Kazama – Paul Nakauchi
What's more is that SEGA and RGG Studio are providing short clips of both Yong Yea and Matt Mercer voicing their respective characters, to whet your appetite, as well as a new trailer showcasing the theme song "Bubble" by Shōnan no Kaze, marking its arrival over here in the West.
Outside of the addition of English voiceovers, Yakuza 0 Director's Cut features an additional 20+ minutes of new cutscenes and a new horde-like 'Red Light Raid' mode, featuring 60 characters for you and your friends to choose from to take down waves of enemies.
Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut launches on June 5, 2025, for the Nintendo Switch 2 and is available for pre-order now.

I was excited until Yong Yea was mentioned.
You weren't excited for very long, then! I really like their work, from the bits and pieces I'm familiar with.
