Starship Troopers: Extermination seems to have gotten off to a pretty good start since its launch last October. Holding "Very Positive" user reviews on Steam, and continuing to get support from the developers, it's time for Update 1.2, which will introduce the "Disputed Sands" Galactic Front event, as well as introduce new rewards and a new Perk system, which will allow players more variety in customizing their troopers.

After players were successful in the first Galactic Front mission and took the ice planet of Boreas, players are now venturing onto a new mission, which we're guessing takes place on a sandy planet given the title!
The new mission isn't all that's coming in Update 1.2 though, 3 Perks have been added to the game, which can be earned by participating in the new event, and going forward, all new Galactic Front missions will add additional perks to the game.
There are also new weapon modifications added to the game, a bunch of client optimization to improve the game performance and new cosmetics.
Update 1.3 will be focused on improving the game's UI elements, as well as fixing some key bugs that have been identified with controllers and audio.
You can check out the roadmap graphic below to see where the developers plan to take Starship Troopers: Extermination in the future.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is available on Steam now for $49.99. Although the game really struggles on the Steam Deck, so we don't recommend that you buy it if you plan to play on your Deck, with frame rates often below 20FPS in busy scenes.
