It's been a good run, but it might be about to come to an end. I was as pleasantly surprised as anyone else when Sony first announced releasing their titles, such as Marvel's Spider-Man and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, on the PC platform. But now it seems that Sony is rethinking its strategy regarding platform exclusivity, with reports now circulating that future Sony-published single-player titles will go back to being exclusive to the PlayStation ecosystem.

According to the reports, though, this change would not affect live service titles, such as Helldivers 2 and the upcoming Marathon, games that rely heavily on consistent player bases. But games such as Ghost of Yotei and Housemarque's Saros likely won't release on PC in the future, if this report is accurate. It sounds like multiplayer-heavy games will still be multi-platform, while single-player experiences won't be coming to PC anymore.
As Bloomberg rightfully points out in their article, however, it could also be seen as an image issue for Sony, with the next Xbox console rumored to be running Windows, meaning future Xbox consoles could play PlayStation games if they were to release on PC.
What do you think? Will you be sad to see Sony leave the space as a PC publisher? Let us know in the comments.
