PAYDAY 3 Celebrates its 1st Anniversary with a 2-Part Update, Announces Chapter 4

In celebration of PAYDAY 3’s first anniversary, developer Starbreeze has prepared a two-part update to bring more content to the game. The first part will be released in less than 2 weeks time, on September 16th, 2024, while Part 2 will be released the following month, in October.

So what does the Part 1 Update bring to PAYDAY 3?

The update will bring PAYDAY 3 to Chapter 4, entitled Fear and Greed. Gold Edition and Gold Pass members get access to the expansion, although it'll also be available to purchase separately.

The expansion will add a new heist pack, a new weapon pack containing 3 new weapons as well as new mods and cosmetics, and a tailor pack that adds 4 new masks, suits, and gloves to the game.

But it's not just those who buy the expansion who will get some new content, the update also adds some free content for all players.

A new playable character is being added, known as Houston, who can be rescued from the Courthouse. In addition, there will also be a new Overkill Weapon in the form of a minigun, new masks, and new Twitch Drops available for viewers.

Information on Part 2 of the update will come at a later time.

PAYDAY 3 is available on Steam right now and is rated as "Playable" on the Steam Deck. The new Fear & Greed paid expansion launches on September 16th, along with the free update.
