Once Upon A KATAMARI Will Be the New Entry in the KATAMARI DAMACY Series

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. announced during today's Nintendo Direct that Once Upon A KATAMARI will be the first new entry in the KATAMARI DAMACY series returning after 14 years.

The game offers a colorful, whimsical world, along with a memorable, playful spirit.  Earth and stars are again destroyed by the King of All Cosmos, so players need to help the Prince restore the starry sky. Gather objects from the Jurassic Period, the Ice Age, and historic Japan.

Once Upon A KATAMARI will offer an immersive experience, along with new stages and a new competitive multiplayer mode. New soundtrack and gameplay enhancements, like new customization options and fun tools, are included in the game. Choose to play as The Prince or 68 cousins and kin. Katamari Ball will include customization options, including a four-player competitive mode. Online multiplayer and offline play against CPU opponents will be supported by the Katamari Ball.

Players can play Once Upon A KATAMARI on October 24, 2025, on PC via Steam or Nintendo Switch in Standard and Deluxe Editions. You can unlock the playable Young King from We Love Katamari REROLL+ Royal Reverie and Katamari Damacy REROLL, if you have previous saved data on these titles.
