It’s International Viking Day, and what better way to celebrate than a new trailer for NORSE: Oath to Blood?

Developed by Arctic Hazard and published by Tripwire, NORSE: Oath to Blood is scheduled to launch on PC and consoles sometime in 2025. In this turn-based tactics game, players take on the role of young warrior Gunnar, who is on a quest for bloody vengeance after his father is killed and his high throne usurped. Not the most creative plot, true, but I like the look of Oath to Blood’s gameplay.

It’s a tactical turn-based affair with settlement building and plenty of hard choices to make during the story. It looks pretty solid, and while the Norse setting is quite popular in video games, the combination of settlement rebuilding and tactical gameplay looks pretty awesome.
