Never Split the Party Gets Steam Deck Support to Celebrate 1,000,000 Downloads

I have seen all kinds of roguelikes in the last couple of years, but Never Split the Party stands out to me. It's touted as an ultra-social roguelike where you and 3 others have to work together to explore procedurally generated dungeons. The game sounds right up my alley in general, but I am a sucker for good co-op games, especially ones that are compatible with the Steam Deck.

To celebrate getting to 1 million downloads, developer Legend Studio has released a new big update, and it includes Steam Deck support! The changelog notes that a keyboard is no longer required, which means gamepad is fully supported, making it so much more playable. It looks like a perfect game to play on the go, so I am quite happy with the change.

The update also includes some pretty massive changes. There's a new lighting system with dynamic illumination and atmospheric glow effects, Steam Relay integration to eliminate NAT issues, new ways to start the game, Steam Rich Presence, more carryables to make the game more interactive, a Game Run Timer for the speedrunners, and a ton of fixes and adjustments.

Never Split the Party is free to play and rated Playable due to needing a community controller configuration, needing to bring up the virtual keyboard manually, and showing incorrect controller icons.
