Metaphor: ReFantazio's Latest Showcase Was About the Characters, The Next Will Cover Daily Life

In case you missed it, yesterday, Metaphor: ReFantazio received a livestream showcase that gave us a look at some of the characters you'll meet in the game. But don't worry if you did miss it, as a VOD of the live stream is now available, and you can watch it embedded down below:

The stream, headed by Studio Zero director Katsura Hashino, highlighted to the viewers some of the candidates who are vying for kingly power in the Royal Tournament. 

Among them is the game's protagonist, who begins his journey at the bottom of the social order – not the kind of person that anyone would expect to be king. The live stream also went into some of the ways that the player will be able to increase the protagonist's popularity among the public to compete with his powerful and influential rivals.

We also got a look at some of the followers whom we will fight alongside in Metaphor: ReFantazio, as you might expect from an ATLUS game, there's a social element to the whole thing, and deepening your bonds with your followers/party members will increase your party's power.

The showcase ended with a teaser for what we can expect from Metaphor: ReFantazio's next showcase and that's a look into the daily life, and presumably social aspects, of the game.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is due to launch on Steam on October 11th, 2024. It's priced at $69.99. It will also have full controller support, and the system requirements put it in line to easily run on the Steam Deck, so we shouldn't have to worry about this one.
